I read several good reviews for this LP and never had the chance to hear. What to expect from a solo LP of Bebeto, member of Tamba Trio, bassist and flute player, accompanied by Tamba Trio members Helcio Milito and Luiz Eca? Surprising, this album does have any kind of connection with Tamba Trio music, but an emotional, subtle and kind work of Bebeto. It seems to be home made, so relaxing is the overall performance of Bebeto and members on the set.
This is Bebeto - Bebeto (1975), for Tapecar, first and only Bebeto Castilho LP with Bebeto (bass, flute and vocals), Laercio de Freitas (piano), Luiz Eca (piano on tracks 01, 02, 07 and 11), Helcio Milito (drums), Durval Ferreira (cavaquinho) and Bebeto, Cida, Jayme, Fabiola and Laercio de Freitas (vocals). Laercio de Freitas was also in charge of arrangements. Thanks to Caetano Rodrigues for another great contribution to Loronixers.

Great ! thank you very much for this. It seems that the track 8 is corrupted but the rest is working. Relaxed music is the word. Thanks again.

I was able to unzip this whole file (including track 8) by downloading in Safari (Mac OS 10.4.8), opening the .download folder that the browser downloaded, then unzipping the .zip file within.
Very good album; I like Luizinho's playing on the Fender Rhodes piano too!

track 8 still missing... I could only archive on mac using terminal: move .zip file to a folder and type unzip * (make sure you don't have any other zip files in that folder or they will be extracted as well). Quite mellow but smooth Bebeto here, compared to the song Princesa Negra d'Angola for example.

Bebeto is one GREAT flute player - he's not a real flashy virtuoso, but, damn, for me his tone, sound and whole style is an ideal: I love him!

Perhaps we need to wait a little bit for this replacement. This album belongs to Caetano Rodrigues and my plan is to get this fixed on a trip I have scheduled to Sao Paulo next month.
